Rick Wallenda is the grandson of legendary aerialist Karl Wallenda and successor to The Great Wallendas. He has performed on three continents, speaks three languages, and has trained daredevils in the art his family helped define.

Beyond the wire, Rick holds a Bachelor’s degree from Eckerd College and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and his writing has appeared in The Bandwagon, Circus Report, and other publications documenting circus history. The Skywalker is his first full memoir, an unflinching look at what it really meant to grow up a Wallenda.
